Donald Trump moved another step closer to the Republican Party's presidential nomination with a clean sweep of the five primaries on Tuesday, capturing the lion's share of the 172 Republican delegates at stake.

Trump said he now considers himself the presumptive Republican nominee, and he said rivals Ted Cruz and John Kasich should get out of the race.
Cruz campaigned in Indiana ahead of next Tuesday's primary, perhaps his last chance to slow Trump's march to the nomination.
Cruz called Trump untrustworthy.

In the Democratic race, front-runner Hillary Clinton scored major victories in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Connecticut and Delaware, another step toward nailing down her party's presidential nomination.

Clinton's victories will put additional pressure on challenger Bernie Sanders to consider his next step, even though he won in Rhode Island.
Sanders told supporters in West Virginia that he would be the stronger general election candidate.
