ໃນບົດບົດລະຄອນນີ້ ທ້າວຈຸມ ພະຍາຍາມທີ່ຈະຊັກຊວນລູກສາວຂອງລາວ ໃຫ້ກັບຄືນໄປສະຫະລັດ. ນາງກຳລັງດຳເນີນຄະດີ ຕັດສິນໂທດ ທ້າວ ດຸກ ຜູ້ເປັນອາຊະຍາກອນສົງຄາມ ທີ່ມີຊື່ສຽງເນົ່າເໝັນ.
ບົດລະຄອນນີ້ ຂຽນຂຶ້ນໂດຍນາງ ລໍເຣນ ຢີ ໃນຄວາມມຸ້ງຫວັງວ່າ ມັນຈະສາມາດຊ່ອຍໃຫ້ພວກພໍ່ແມ່ທັງຫຼາຍ ເລົ່າເລື້ອງລາວຕ່າງໆຂອງພວກເພິ່ນ ກັບພວກລູກເຕົ້າຂອງພວກເພິ່ນ.
ນາງ ລໍເຣນ ຢີ ກ່າວວ່າ “ບໍ່ພຽງເລື້ອງທີ່ໄດ້ເກີດຂຶ້ນ ພາຍໃຕ້ການປົກຄອງຂອງຂະເໝນແດງເທົ່ານັ້ນ ແຕ່ກ່ອນໜ້ານີ້ ເວລາທີ່ພວກເຂົາເຈົ້າເຕີບໃຫຍ່ຂຶ້ນ ຫຼື ໃນເວລາທີ່ພວກເຂົາກຳລັງເປັນເດັກນ້ອຍຢູ່.”

Cambodian Rock Band, a play by Lauren Yee, tells the story of a Khmer Rouge survivor who returned to Cambodia for the first time in 30 years. The play that officially starts this week at the Signature Theater in New York City received high praise during previews.
"Cambodian Rock Band" tells the story of Chhum, a survivor of the Khmer Rouge regime and his relationship with his American born daughter, Neary.

In the play, Chhum is trying to convince his daughter to return to the U.S. She is preparing to prosecute Duch, an infamous war criminals.
The play was written by Lauren Yee in the hopes it can help parents share their stories with their children.

Joe Ngo plays Chhum.Born to parents who are Khmer Rouge survivors, Joe says survivors who came to see the show open up afterwards.

Courtney Reed who is half Vietnamese plays Chum's daughter, Neary.She says the father-daughter relationship is universal.
