Ecuador president Rafael Correa has been sworn into office for a third term.
The leftist leader took the oath of office during an inauguration ceremony Friday before the National Assembly in the capital, Quito.
He won reelection in February by overwhelming majority. Mr. Correa's popularity has flourished behind generous spending on social programs.
Friday's ceremony was attended by several presidents from the region.
