The Ebola coordinator for the Guinean Health Ministry ((Aboubakar Sidiki Diakite)) says the number of new cases has dropped in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia. He said the challenge now is to trace all the people who have come into contact with an Ebola patient.
The head of the United Nations' Ebola mission ((Anthony Banbury)) said there have been significant improvements in combating the disease, but warned there is still a long way to go. He said fewer people are dying from the disease, which has already killed nearly 5,000 people.
In another development Tuesday, a hospital in Switzerland began testing an experimental Ebola vaccine made by the drug company GlaxoSmithKline. One hundred and twenty healthy volunteers are taking part in the trial.
