Max: I wonder if it’s still raining outside.
Kathy: I think so. It was raining pretty hard this morning.
And the weather report said it would rain all day.
Max: Well, we certainly got a lot of rain this weekend.
Kathy: Yes, what a storm!
It was so windy. Did you lose power? Did your lights go out?
Max: Yes. Our lights went out about four in the afternoon.
We had to light candles in order to fix dinner!
But we got our electricity back about eight.
They say the rain will stop later tonight.
Kathy: Thank goodness! I’m ready for some sunshine.
