The Export and Import Bank of Malaysia has extended a loan of US$14 million to a Malaysian construction company to build a convention center and tourist complex in Laos.
The loan agreement was signed last week between the Bank and Sun Holding Co. in Vientiane.
The project to build the five-star hotel, convention center, and shopping complex on Don Chan Island was launched last November, and is expected to finish on time for Laos to host this year's ASEAN summit in November.
