Lao officials say they are ready to cooperate with Thai authorities to resolve the issues of the Lao Hmongs who are living in Ban Houay Namkhao, Thailand.
To do so, they say Thai officials must provide them detailed background informations about those Hmong, including the 27 Hmongs who were secretly repatriated late last year and still remain missing. Lao authorities say, only then they will be able to track those Hmongs.
However, it is unlikely that the two sides will take up this issue any time soon, now that Thailand has a new military government that is pre-occupied with consolidating its powers among other things,
