31 Hmongs refugees from Laos who have been detained at a police station in Khao Kho district in Thailand's Phetchabun province were quietly repatriated to Laos this week. The group includes fourteen adults and 17 children, aged from 1 to 10 years old.
They and another group of 243 Hmongs fled from Laos earlier this year to join their relatives living in Ban Huay Nam Khao, hoping to eventually be able to resettle in the United States,but were arrested by Thai police and charged with illegal entry.
