Weather Conditions in Laos and Thailand Affect Mekong Level More than Dams in China - 2004-10-14

Thai officials maintain that dams in China do have impact on the water level of the Mekong river, but only about 30% and not as much as the impacts caused by weather conditions in Laos and Thailand.

They say draught in Laos and Thailand would dry up the Mekong downstream in Cambodia and Vietnam, and too much rain would cause flood.
