Officials in Asia are investigating new outbreaks of bird flu, following a week in which the spread of the potentially deadly disease appeared to be slowing.

China announced additional outbreaks today, while Thai officials said bird flu had been detected in hundreds of deat storks on the outskirts of Bangkok.

Health officials in Indonesia say an outbreak of dengue fever has killed at least 77 people, and about 45-hundred others have been hospitalized.

Britain says it believes terrorists are in the final stages of preparing an attack in Saudia Arabia.
