Lao officials confirm that Electricite de France remains committed to the Nam Theun 2 power project, and that a power purchase agreement with Thailand's EGAT is expected to be signed in November.
The $1.2 billion-hydroelectric power project is expected to be completed by the end of 2009 as scheduled.
