The extradition case against 17 Laotian-born suspects in the armed raid on the Vangtao border checkpoint in July 2000 has ended, and a Thai court is set to rule on the case on May 11.
Meanwhile, one of the suspects has reportedly died of a liver disease folowing his transfer from a Bangkok prison for treatment at an outside hospital.
