Story Interlude: Shopping for a New Computer
Larry: OK... and we’re off the air.
Kathy: What are you doing this weekend, Larry?
Larry: Well, I think I’ll go shopping for a new computer.
Max: Really?
Larry: Yes, our computer at home can’t run the newest programs.
It’s very slow.
Kathy: Computers are not very expensive these days.
Max: Yeah. I can’t believe how cheap they are now.
Do you remember how expensive they were just a few years ago?
Larry: Yes, the prices have really come down.
Max: What will you use it for, Larry?
Larry: Well, mostly for e-mail.
Also, I want to use it to do our family finances.
Max: My wife and I do that.
It makes things a little easier when it is time to pay taxes.
And my son loves to play computer games.
Larry: Actually, I was thinking I might give some of these computer games a try.
“Computer Soldier” looks like a fun game.
Max: That’s a great game!!
I play…. I mean, my son plays it all the time.
Kathy: Oh, you guys!
SFX: Elizabeth enters
Larry: Oh, hi, Elizabeth. I guess we’d better get started.
