Many parts of Laos, especially areas in six central and southern provinces, will face more serious floodings due to the continuous rising of the Mekong river.
Pakse in Champassack province and parts of Khammouane province have already been declared danger zone with the Mekong water level rising to between 13.9 and 14 meters, while residents of Borikhamxay's Paksane district and Savannakhet's Khanthabouli have been put on high alert because the Mekong is near the flooding level.
