Amtrak Budget Faces Cuts

A U.S. congressional panel has rejected a proposal to increase the budget for Amtrak -- the government-funded national passenger rail service. In fact, that Republican-controlled panel Wednesday approved deep spending cuts to Amtrak's budget, just hours after a deadly train crash in Philadelphia. That crash killed at least seven people and injured scores of others. Zlatica Hoke has more.
