Ethiopia's ruling Ethiopian People's Revolutionary Democratic Front
( EPRDF ) party, in power for more than two decades, is expected to be the big winner Sunday in the country's general election.

Analysts say Prime Minister Hailemarian Desalegn is certain to retain his office.

Initial results are expected in a few days, but the final vote count of the nation with 37 million registered voters will not be revealed until next month.

Rights groups have said Sunday's vote is not free and fair because the ruling party clamps down on opposition supporters and routinely detains bloggers and journalists.

Ethiopia has one of Africa's most robust economies.
