ທ່ານ​ນາງ​ກ່າວ​ວ່າ: “ພາຍ​ໃຕ້​ລັດຖະທໍາ​ມະນູ​ນຊຸດ​ປັດຈຸບັນ​ນີ້ ຝ່າຍ​ທະຫານ​​ແມ່ນ ສາມາດ​ຍຶດອໍານາດ​​ ເຂົ້າ​ຄວບ​ຄຸມໄດ້​ໝົດ​ທຸກ​ສ່ວນ​ຂອງ​ລັດຖະ ບານ ຖ້າ​ຫາກ​ພວກ​ເຂົາ​ເຈົ້າ​ເຫັນ​ວ່າ​ຈໍາ​ເປັນ. ສະ​ນັ້ນ​ ຈົນ​ກວ່າ​ວ່າຝ່າຍ​ທະຫານ​ຈະ​ອອກ​ມາໃຫ້ ການ​ສະໜັບສະໜຸນ​ຢ່າງ​ແຈ້ງ​ຂາວ​ແລະຢ່າງ​ສະ​ເໝີ​ຕົ້ນ​ສະ​ເໝີ​ປາຍ ຕໍ່​ຂັ້ນ​ຕອນ​ສ້າງຕັ້ງປະຊາທິປະ​ໄຕ​ນີ້ແລ້ວ ພວກ​ເຮົາ​ກໍ​ເວົ້າ​ບໍ່​ໄດ້​ວ່າ​ ມັນ​ຈະ​ບໍ່​ຕ່າວ​ປິ້ນຄືນ ​ແຕ່​ຂ້າພະ​ເຈົ້າ​ກໍຄິດວ່າ​ ພວກ​ເຮົາ​ບໍ່​ຈໍາ​ເປັນ​ຕ້ອງຢ້ານຫລາຍວ່າ ມັນ​ຈະ​ຕ່າວ​ປິ້ນຄືນ.”

ການ​ເລືອກ​ຕັ້ງ​ໃນ​ປີ 2010 ​ໄດ້​ນໍາ​ເອົາ​ຜູ້​ນໍາ​ການ​ເມືອງ​ໜ້າ​ໃໝ່​ເຂົ້າ​ມາ ​ພວກ​ທີ່ເຖິງ​ແມ່ນ​ວ່າ​ເປັນ​ພົນລະ​ເຮືອນ​ກໍ​ຕາມ ​ແຕ່​ກໍມີ​ຄວາມ​ສໍາພັນທີ່​ໃກ້ຊິດ​ກັບ​ກອງທັບ. ​ແຕ່​ຢ່າງ​ໃດ​ກໍ​ຕາມ ລັດຖະບານ​ຊຸດ​ໃໝ່​ຂອງ​ມຽນມາ​ກໍ​ໄດ້ ຄ່ອຍໆດໍາ​ເນີນ​ການ​ປະຕິ​ຮູບທາງ​ການ​ເມືອງ​ແລະ​ເສດຖະກິດ​ໄປ​ເລື້ອຍໆ ທີ່​ຍັງຜົນ​ໃຫ້​ສະຫະລັດເລີ້ມຜ່ອນຜັນ​ການ​ລົງ​ໂທດຕໍ່​ມຽນມາ ​ໂດຍ​ໄວ.

​ໃນ​ການ​ໃຫ້​ສໍາພາດຢູ່ສໍານັກງານ​ໃຫຍ່ຂອງ​ວີ​ໂອ​ເອທີ່​ວໍ​ຊິງ​ຕັນ​ເມື່ອ​ວັນ​ອັງ ຄານ​ອາທິດ​ແລ້ວ​ນີ້ ທ່ານ​ນາງ​ອອງຊານ ຊູ​ຈີ ​ເວົ້າ​ວ່າ ທ່ານ​ນາງ​ສະໜັບ ສະ​ໜຸນການ​ຍົກ​ເລີກ​ການ​ລົງ​ໂທດ​ດ້ານ​ການ​ຄ້າຂອງ​ສະຫະລັດ​ຕໍ່​ມຽນມາ ຍ້ອນ​ວ່າ ມັນ​ເຖິງ​ເວລາ​ແລ້ວ ສໍາລັບ​ຊາວ​ມຽນມາ​ຈະ​ເພິ່ງ​ພາ​ຕົນ​ເອັງ​ໄດ້.

ທ່ານ​ນາງ ຊູ​ຈີ​ເວົ້າ​ວ່າ: “ມີຫຼາຍ​ຝ່າຍ​ອ້າງ​ວ່າ ການ​ລົງ​ໂທດ​ຕໍ່​ມຽນມາ​ນັ້ນ ​ແມ່ນ​ໄດ້​ສ້າງ​ຄວາມ​ເດືອດຮ້ອນ​ໃຫ້​ແກ່​ເສດຖະກິດ​ຂອງມຽນມາ​ຢ່າງ​ໜັກ ຊຶ່ງຂ້າພະ​ເຈົ້າບໍ່​ເຫັນ​ພ້ອມ​ນໍາທັດສະນະ​ດັ່ງກ່າວນັ້ນ. ຖ້າ​ເຮົາ​ສຶກສາ​ເບິ່ງ​ລາຍງານ​ຂອງ​ກອງ​ທຶນ​ສາກົນ ຫຼື IMF ຍົກຕົວຢ່າງ​ເນາະ IMF ​ໄດ້​ລະບຸ​ອອກ​ມາຢ່າງ​ແຈ້ງຂາວ​ວ່າ​ ຜົນ​ກະທົບ​ຕໍ່ເສດຖະກິດ​ຂອງ​ມຽນມາ​ບໍ່​ຮຸນ​ແຮງ​ເຖິງ​ປານນັ້ນ. ​ແຕ່​ຂ້າພະ​ເຈົ້າຄິດ​ວ່າ​ ຜົນ​ກະທົບ​ຕໍ່​ດ້ານ​ການ​ເມືອງ​ແມ່ນຮຸນ​ແຮງ​ຫຼາຍກວ່າ ແລະ​ນັ້ນ​ແມ່ນໄດ້​ຊ່ວຍໃນ​ການ​ດິ້ນຮົນຕໍ່ສູ້ຂອງ​ພວກ​ເຮົາ.”

ທ່ານ​ນາງ ອອງຊານ ຊູ​ຈີ ​ໃນ​ຖານະ​ຜູ້​ນໍາຝ່າຍ​ຄ້ານ ກໍ​ຄື​ພັກ​ສັນນິບາດ ​ແຫ່ງ​ຊາດ​ເພື່ອ​ປະຊາທິປະ​ໄຕນັ້ນ ​ໄດ້​ໃຊ້​ເວລາເກືອບ 20 ປີ ດໍາລົງ​ຊີວິດ​ຢູ່​ພາຍ​ໃຕ້​ການ​ຖືກ​ກັກ​ບໍລິ​ເວນ. ທ່ານ​ນາງ​ກ່າວ​ວ່າ ໃນ​ຊ່ວງຊຸມ​ປີ​ເຫລົ່າ​ນັ້ນ ທ່ານ​ນາງ​ເຊື່ອ​ຢູ່ຕະຫລອດມາວ່າ ທ່ານ​ນາງກໍາລັງກ້າວ​ເດີນໄປບົນເສັ້ນ ທາງ​ ທີ່​ທ່ານ​ນາງ​ໄດ້​ເລືອກ​ເອົາ ​ຊຶ່ງຊ່ວຍ​ໃຫ້​ທ່ານ​ນາງ​ໄດ້ມີ​ການ​ຕຽມຕົວ ​ຢ່າງ​ດີ​ເລີດ ​ເພື່ອ​ກ້າວ​ເດີນ​ໄປ​ບົນ​ເສ້ນ​ທາງ​ນັ້ນ ຕໍ່​ໄປ.

ທ່ານ​ນາງ​ ຊູ​ຈີ ຕອບ​ວ່າ: “ກ່ອນ​ອື່ນ​ໝົດ ຂ້າພະ​ເຈົ້າ​ຈະເວົ້າວ່າ ຈົ່ງ​ຢ່າ​ສິ້ນ​ຫວັງ. ໃນ​ຂະນະ​ດຽວກັນ​ ຂ້າພະ​ເຈົ້າກໍ​ຈະເວົ້າ​ວ່າ ບໍ່​ມີ​ຄວາມ​ຫວັງ​ໃດໆ​ທີ່​ປາດ​ສະ​ຈາກ​ຄວາມ​ບາກ​ບັ່ນພະຍາຍາມ. ​ເຮົາ​ຕ້ອງ​ຕັ້ງໜ້າ​ທໍາ​ງານ ​ເຮົາ​ຕ້ອງ​ມີ​ຄວາມ​ບຸກບືນ ພະຍາຍາມ. ຈະ​ນັ່ງແລະຫວັງ​ຢ່າງດຽວ​ບໍ່​ໄດ້ ​ເຮົາ​ຕ້ອງ​ທໍາ​ງານ​ເພື່ອ​ເຮັດໃຫ້​ຄວາມ​ຫວັງ​ຂອງ​ພວກ​ເຮົາ ​ເປັນຄວາມ​ຈິງ​ຂຶ້ນ​ມາ.”
