Following the World Bank’s announcement that it had decided to approve loan guarantee for Laos’ controversial NT2 project, investors say they expect to sign loan agreements by the end of April, which will enable them to meet the requirements imposed by Thailand's EGAT who will purchase the electricity produced by the NT 2 dam.
The investors will need to borrow about US$ 800 miilion for the US$1.2 billion project.
