Japan will provide assistance to Laos for a study to draw a master plan for a comprehensive transportation system for the capital city of Vientiane. Meanwhile, the Asian Development Bank has approved over US$ 19 million in development assistance for 11 districts in 8 provinces in central and northern Laos.
