The Asian Development Bank predicts Laos’ economy will continue to grow at a rate between 6.5-7.0% during 2005. Meanwhile, Vietnam announces it will invest $30 million in Para rubber plantations in four southern provinces of Laos.
And Oxiana Resources of Australia says its gold output in Laos will double now that production has started at its expanded gold processing plant in Sepone, Savannakhet Province.
