The World Bank is sending a team of experts to Laos to inspect the preparations made by Nam Theun 2 project developers to satisfy the Bank's requirements for loan guarantee for the construction of the controversial multi-million dollar hydro-power dam.
The collected information will be used in the Bank's final decision-making on loan guarantee. Lao officials say they expected to be informed of the Bank's final decision in May.
