Lao Woman Became ADB's First Female Vice-President - 2004-12-16

Ms. Khempheng Pholsena, former deputy foreign minister of Laos, became the first female Vice-President of the Asian Development Bank earlier this year. In this part one of an exclusive interview with VOA, she discusses her job and responsibilities as ADB’s Vice-President for Finance and Administration.

She also talks briefly about ADB's organizational structure and aid programs for Laos for 2005. Ms. Khempheng says she has no role in ADB's decision-making regarding assistances for Laos because of conflict of interests.
