Ukraine's Supreme court has reconvened to consider opposition claims of fraud in last week's presidential election. Pro-Russian Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych and Pro-western opposition leader Viktor Yushchenko- the two rivals in the disputed runoff-have agreed to wait on the court ruling before meeting again to resolve the standoff over who won the election.

Insurgents in Iraq fired a barrage of mortar rounds into central Baghdad today, killing at least one person and wounding several others. Police say some of the mortars landed in the Green Zone--the heavily fortified enclave that houses Iraqi government offices and several foreign embassies.

A group of Cambodians who fled into the jungle decades ago has been found in Laos. Cambodian and human rights officials say 34 hill tribe people were arrested by Lao authorities after they entered a disputed border area. The group has since been transferred to northeast Cambodia.
