President Bush says he and other Asia-Pacific leaders at the APEC summit in Chile are united in the fight against terrorism and any nuclear threat posed by North korea and Iran. After meeting Saturday with leaders of China, Japan,South Korea and Russia, President Bush said they had a joint message for North Korea to get rid of its nuclear weapons program and return to stalled disarmament talks.
The death toll in the crash of a passenger plane in northern China has risen to 55, with the discovery of two victims on the ground. The China Eastern Airlines jet , carrying 53 passengers and crew, plunged into a lake just seconds after taking off fro Baotou city in Inner Mongolia.
