Lao Americans' Reaction to U.S. Presidential Election - 2004-11-18


In an exclusive interview with VOA, some Lao Americans express a mixed feeling about the U.S. presidential on November the 2nd.

Mr. Saphaothong Komany in Buffalo, New York, says he voted for Mr. George W. Bush because of his continued plan to fight terrorism and he's happy with the results of the election.

Mrs. Sommy Bounnak, the resident of Alexandria, Virginia, who voted for Senator John Kerry, says she's disappointed that Mr. Kerry lost the election. But she says she hopes the President Bush will make an effort to improve the economic conditions of the country.
