Laos will not allow tourists into the capital city of Vientiane during the ASEAN Summit in late November in order to free up accommodations for delegates and reporters. Visa suspension will start from Nov. 22 to Nov. 30. Furthermore, any tourist visiting Vientiane prior to that period will be required to leave town by Nov. 21. However, those visiting or intending to visit other provinces are welcome, says an official of the Lao embassy in Bangkok.
