The United State has issued a travel advisory for Laos, warning of the threat of violence during next month's Association of Southeast Asia Nations summit in Vientiane.
The U.S. State Department says American diplomats in Laos have received information suggesting that opponents of the Lao government may be plotting multiple bomb attacks in Vientiane and elsewhere in the country during the summit.
