A car bomb attack at a Sunni Muslim rally in central Pakistan has killed at least 40 people and injured scores of others. The attack occurred early Thursday morning in the city of Multan, where hundreds of members of a radical Sunni Muslim group had gathered to mark the first anniversary of the assassination of their leader.
Cambodia's King Norodom Sihanouk has announced that he intends to step down. The king's decision was made public today by his son, National Assembly leader Prince Narodom Ranariddh, who said he hoped his father could be persuaded to change his mind.
