U.S forces in Iraq have attacked suspected insurgent positions in the restive city of Fallujah, west of Baghdad. Local hospital officials say at least 15 people were killed and more than dozen others wounded in this morning's attack.

North Korea says a huge explosion near the Chinese border last Thursday was part of a hydro-electric project. North Korean Foreign minister Paek Nam-sun had told visiting British Foreign Office minister Bill Rammel the blast was from the demolition of a mountain for a power plant project.

An Australian official says investigators in Indonesia have identified the vehicle used in last week's suicide bombing in Jakarta. Federal Police Commissioner Mick Keelty says investigators have found the chassis number of the van taht exploded outside the Australian embassy Thursday.
