In an exclusive interview with VOA, Duane Cash, husband of Laotian-born artist Phet Cash, talks about his marriage and the unique style of his paintings which currently experience surge in popularity worldwide.
He says he met his wife at work and was caught by her charms at the very first sight. They now have a 3-year-old son.
He says his art work has an abstract characteristic and mostly deals with landscapes, trees, some kinds of fruits and other objects by using the technique of the old masters like Leonardo Da Vinci, Picasso and Monet; and from time to time he produces paintings about Asian sceneries like his "Bangkok Evening" which is now in exhibition in the Art Gallery in London.
Duane Cash, the owner of Cash Art Studio residing in Albuquerque, New Mexico, says heand his wife plan to visit Laos someday.
