Insurgents in Iraq launched a series of attacks (today/Thursday) in Baghdad and four mainly Sunni Muslim towns -- Fallujah, Baquba, Ramadi and Mosul.

Turkish authorities say one police officer was wounded when a small bomb exploded in front of a hotel where President Bush is expected to stay when he visits Ankara ahead of next week's NATO summit in Istanbul.

The United States say it will contribute millions of dollar to help settle Hmong refugees in several U.S. states.

U.S. Health and Human Services Tommy Thompson says the money will go to the states of Minnesota, Wisconsin, and California, which will be accepting most of the refugees.
