South Korean President Roh Moo-Hyun comdemned the beheading of a South Korean hostage in Iraq, but said his government wil send more troops to the country rather than bow to terrorism.

President Bush is due to announce today (Wednesday) that Vietnam will be included in his multi-billion dollar plan to combat AIDS worldwide.

An international media rights group has accused the Lao government of trying to maintain complete control of the internet. In its global Internet rights report, Reporters Without Borders say Lao citizens at home or abroad are forbidden by Vientiane to post anything on the Internet that, in the opinion of the government, "harms national unity."
