Foreign assistances continue to pour into Laos. The latest includes Sweden’s US$60-million grant for three development projects for 2004-2006, E-U’s $20 million for intergrated rural development, Japan’s $50 million to improve Route 1 in the capital of Vientiane, and China’s $1 million to improve the Patouxay Park to prepare for the ASEAN summit in late November.
