President Bush says the United States and its partners among the world's leading industrial nations have forged a new commitment to build a more prosperous world and and violence around the globe.

Four thousand people, including world leaders past and present, are expected at Washington's National Cathedral today (Friday) for the national memorial service to honor former President Ronald Reagan.

Cambodia has asked to be included in this year's Asia-Europe Meeting, saying its membership bid has been hindered because of political situation in Burma.

Cambodia, Burma and Laos are the only three members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations not part of ASEM, which is an informal dialogue between the European Union and 10 Asian countries.
