Lao-Hmong Coalition Seeks a Federally-Sanctioned Recognition Day - 2004-06-04


In an interview with VOA, Mr. Song Kao Thao, the president of the Lao-Hmong Amrican in Brighton, Minnesota, talks about the activities and goals of his organization.

He says the main objective of the coalition is to seek a federally sanctioned Lao-Hmong Recognition Day to honor the more than 35,000 Lao and Hmong men and women who died fightong in Laos in the 'U.S. Secret Army' during the Vietnam War.
