Investigators in Thailand are trying to determine what caused part of a shopping mall to collapse in downtown Bangkok Wednesday. Police and rescue workers say at least seven people were injured, two of them seriuosly, when upper floors of the 11-story New World Department Store caved in.

Vietnamese police have arrested the deputy general director of oil and gas giant Petro Vietnam on corruption charges. Nguyen Quang Thuong was detained Tuesday following an investigation by the country's Public Security Ministry.
