Officials in Asia are investigating new outbreaks of bird flu, following a week in which the spread of the potentially deadly disease appeared to be slowing.

China announced additional outbreaks today, while Thai officials said bird flu had been detected in hundreds of deat storks on the outskirts of Bangkok.
