Lao authorities acknowledge the the outbreak os SARS, bird flu, and terrorism have had a tremendous effect on tourism in Laos and in the region, as the ASEAN Tourism Forum opens in Vientiane.
Meanwhile, Laos's Minister for Internal Security insists his country is stable and strong despite those threats.
