Twelve American business people, most of them Lao-Ameriacans from various states in the United States, inaugurated a Laotian-American Chamber of Commerce(LACC), aimed at promoting business between the U.S and Laos.
In another development, the American Embassy in Vientiane announced it funded the construction of two special display cabinets for the National Museum in Luang Prabang. The Embassy also donated to the same museum two computers, two printers, and computer-related equipment valued at approximately $ 3,200.
