In an exclusive interview with VOA Lao Service, Mr. Soukinkham Pardymounivongs, co-founder of the Laoradio.com based in Montreal, Canada, says his radio station came into beeing due of the need of preserving the Lao language and sharing knowledge among Lao people and non-Lao alike throughout the world.
The main objective of Laoradio.com is to produce educational, informative, and entertaining programs in Lao that include tutorial and reference materials as well as music to promote learning and sharing of the Lao language.
