Thai officials say Laos will have a record trade deficit with Thailand in 2003 of almost 30 billion baths.
They also say trade between the two countries for this year will be worth about 40 billion baths, with Thailand importing less than 9 billion baths' worth of goods from Laos.
Thailand also plans to extend grants and loans to Laos for agriculture, trade, and industrial development
