Dr. Vang Pobzeb, Director of the U.S-based Lao Human Rights Council, Inc., tells VOA he will appeal to international organizations on behalf of the three Lao Hmongs arrested in June, allegedly tortured while in police custody, and sentenced to long prison terms after unfair trial with no legal representation.
He also discusses Amnesty International's report that pockets of Hmong rebels in Laos face starvation and exhaustion after a series of attacks by government forces on their camps.
