NTR will benefit both Laos, ASEAN, and the U.S, says Mr. Soulivong Daravong, adding that it will enable Laos to compete on the same level as other ASEAN members in the U.S market.
He states it will make foreign investors confident of the investment environment in Laos.
The Lao Minister of Commerce led a five-member delegation on a one-week visit to Washington in late April to talk with administration officials and members of Congress about normal trade relations and other issues that are hindering the consideration of NTR for Laos by Congress.
