The U-S Commision on International Religion says Washington should urge Laos to take specific steps to improve religious freedom, and recommend that Laos be designated a "country of particular concern," in order to make clear U-S complaints. It says Laos has imprisoned and detained members of religious minorities, and has forced some others to recant their faith.
