VOA-Lao Music Program is proud to honor Lao singers whose works help to maintain and cherish the beautiful traditions of Lao folklore. Lasmy Phoudindong is one of the many members of the younger generation of folrklore singers of the Lao PDR. She serenades you in this program with Lam Tang Vai (Hak Ai Jueng Dai Vao).
The three Nouhouang brothers follow with Lam Mahaxay, a cut from their 4th all-folksong album: Maw Lam 2008. Another Lao PDR artist, Malavanh Douangphoumy, wraps up with the northern style Kub SamNeua.
