The Country Music Award (CMA) is the biggest night for all
country artists and this is the 42th Annual Award that was held in Tennessee. There’s
a TV Live broadcast nationwide for three hours of entertainment, show and awards presentation. The biggest names include: Kenny Chesney, George Strait, Carrie
Underwood, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Marinda Lambert, Jennifer Nettles, Alen
Jackson, Martina McBride, Taylor Swift, Eagles, Lady Antebellum, Reba McIntire,
etc…
VOA-Lao Service Music Program is proud to present to you an update of the Country Music circle. We start out with the “Song of the Year - Stay” by Sugarland (Jennifer Nettles); followed by the “Single of the Year-I Saw God Today” by George Strait who has won the most country music awards, 20 in all. The New Artist of the Year went to the group called “Lady Antebellum-Love Doesn’t Live Here Anymore.” The last song “Lady” by Kenny Roger is one of those classic songs that still amazes you every time you hear it.
