Laos says it plans set up a stock exchange by the end of 2010 with full-scale assistance from South Korea’s Stock Exchange. The two nations recently signed an MOU regarding cooperation in capital market development in Laos during a Lao delegation's visit to South Korea.
Under the agreement, South Korea's Stock Exchange will assist Laos in making all the necessary preparations toward establishing a stock market to allow Laos to link up with the capital markets of its fellow ASEAN member-nations by 2010.
