Members of the Lao-American community of the nation's capital area gathered at the Lao Buddhavong Temple in Catlett, Virginia, this past weekend(7-8 July) to celebrate America's 231th birthday with food fair, sports, cultural shows, and concerts.
Artists from Laos, Thailand, and the U.S. performed at the concerts which were the main attraction for revellers. The biggest crowd-drawer was the comedian band Ponglang SaOrn of Thailand.
