Sipraseuth Khanthaboury of Anaheim, California, serenaded our audience last weekend with songs from his new release, Bangfai Phagna Nark. We featured the title cut as well as his tribute to the second Lao-Thai bridge which was opened last month, linking his hometown Savannakhet to Thailand's Mukdahan province.
The former native of Savannakhet's Khanthaboury district, which has been renamed Kaysone Phomvihan district after the first Lao PDR president, also remembered his re-education camp in "Outai Haeng Khuam Lung."
And since there was some time left, we wrapped up the program with "Oh, Savanh," Sipraseuth's tribute to Savannakhet.
