The Wildlife Consrvation Society estimates there are 140 to 150 wild elephants that need to be relocated from the Nam Theun 2 dam construction site, and that it is currently doing a detailed study on the impact of relocating those elephants.
WCS, which was hired by the NT2 investor group to perform the study, says the results will be used in the decision to select the new habitat for the wild elephants.
